A little about me...

First and foremost - I love Jesus.  He has saved me from myself and a lifetime of hurt by giving me a grace and love that I have never known.  In turn, I choose to love Him with all of my heart.

My husband and I have known each other since 2010.  We have a special love and we are best friends.  We can do anything and everything together and we prefer it that way.

I received my B.A. in Christian Theology in 2003 from Seattle Pacific University (which doesn't mean I know anything) and my M.A. in Teaching in 2006.  After working in the corporate world for years, I began teaching, knowing it was a life long dream.  And here I am, still teaching, 20 years later!

I have done a lot of fun stuff in my life because adventure is in my blood and I am in for trying almost anything at least once.  My adventures have taken me to 5 of the 7 continents, martial arts, surfing (and having to be rescued once), getting lost at Whistler skiing a double black (and taking all day, hiking all over to find help a few miles from the resort), spending the day as a homeless person in San Francisco, backpacking for a month by myself in New Zealand, meeting my husband in Haiti, and getting my CDL license to drive a school bus full of high school students from Seattle To Tijuana and all over Tijuana for 2 weeks - only getting lost once, by myself, in a big yellow school bus.

All that to say, I am simply a ragamuffin who loves Jesus. I started writing years ago about all things Jesus because I felt like the Gospel was and is so accessible to everyone, but everyone doesn't always think so!  My blog was not meant to go "deep" into theological understandings, but to give people a chance to slow down for a few minutes to be encouraged and to be prompted to want to study more!  I don't profess to be a Biblical scholar by any means and am continually learning and growing in my faith. Hope you can find some encouragement in my ramblings!
